Five-goal contributions from Noah Hura and Steve Kenny bolstered the Rockingham Rams as they cruised to a victory over South Mandurah at Falcon Oval on Sunday afternoon.
The league leaders kept their red hot form rolling with their sixth straight win, continuing to showcase their high-scoring ability with a crushing 4.4 (28) to 24.19 (163) win.
Hura and Kenny were the stars on the scoreboard, but once again admirable efforts from the likes of Fraser Millar and Rocky Collins proved enormous for the Rams.
But despite the scoreboard dominance, it was the Falcons posting the first goal of the day as Brody Wemm got the home side off and running.
The joy didn't last long, however, with the Rams kicking the next seven straight.
The visitors were out to a two-goal lead when Hura secured his first for the day, and Kenny's came at the end of the first quarter to give them a 26-point buffer at the break.
John Bennell kicked truly for the Falcons early in the second term, but his efforts did little to stem the 10-goal surge Rockingham put together for the quarter.
Hura, Kenny and Damon Cramer all booted three goals apiece in the term, as the lead was stretched to a staggering 83 points at the half.
Wemm and Adam Reinhardt combined to give South Mandurah two of the first three goals in the second half, but the young side would fail to register another score despite the best efforts of Jack Shanahan and Troy Lee.
The Rams were able to cruise to the win from there, with coach Scott Franklin crediting a complete team effort.
"I was really happy with the way we received contributions from all 22 guys over the weekend," he said.
"It was a solid four quarter effort, which is exactly what you ask of your team at this time of year.
"No one wants to be heading into finals relying on just a few guys, so it's nice to have everyone chipping in."
The Rams have now won six straight games and find themselves atop the table with a comfortable percentage buffer over Baldivis and Pinjarra.
But despite the race for top spot, Franklin remains adamant his side's focus is on good form rather than specific results.
"It's always nice to have that week off and refresh while everyone else is playing contested finals footy, but for us, it's more important to just remain in the good form we've been in," he said.
"We've already assured ourselves a top-three finish which gives us the double-chance, so now we just want to keep things rolling.
"I feel like we're timing our run pretty well at the moment so if we just continue playing good footy the results will take care of themselves."
Rockingham hosts Waroona this coming week, while the Falcons hit the road to take on Pinjarra.
