Phil Walshaw booted seven goals and Ryan McKinlay gave a stirring performance as Waroona proved too much for South Mandurah at Falcon Oval on Sunday.
The Falcons celebrated club great Michael Holmes' 200th game but ultimately fell short of notching a win for their long-standing defender, as the Demons rained on the parade with a 5.7 (37) to 15.14 (104) victory.
Walshaw was outstanding in the win, kick-starting his seven-goal day with the only two majors scored in the first term.
His early work had the Demons in the lead at the end of the term, and they stretched their margin booting three goals to South Mandurah's two in the second with Jake Currell this time bagging a pair of goals for the term.
Jack Shanahan and John Bennell worked hard for the home side, but their squad struggled to keep up in the second half.
Much like he did in the opening term, Walshaw started the third with a pair of goals while Shane Hunter also notched two for the term.
Eli Smith and Andrew Leroy continued to work hard around the ground for the Demons, and by three quarter time their efforts had helped to cement a 10-goal lead.
Young gun Bailey Norris and Adam Reinhardt both hit the scoreboard for the Falcons in the final term, but the damage was done with Waroona rounding out a handsome win.
Holmes was effective in his milestone match, finding himself among South Mandurah's best, while the Falcons also marked the debut of Corey Tregenza, son of Peel Football and Netball League legend Rod.
At just 15 years and seven months old, Tregenza became the youngest player to ever lace up the boots at the league level for the Falcons.
Waroona now goes on to play Pinjarra next week, while the Falcons line up against Rockingham.
