There were plenty of yarns to celebrate NAIDOC Week on Monday at local health care centre Nidjalla Waangan Mia.
Peel Health Campus staff joined those in attendance for afternoon tea, a raising of the flags ceremony and a performance from Aboriginal comedian, Kevin Kropinyeri.
A number of PHC staff, including the hospital management team, who were at the event also attended the NAIDOC week march along the Mandurah foreshore which was organised by the Binjareb NAIDOC committee.
The march culminated in a flag raising ceremony and the Binjareb Art Awards at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.
The festivities included culturally prepared foods, Aboriginal dance demonstrations and more.

PHC chief executive Dr Margaret Sturdy said the hospital had strong links with the local Aboriginal community.
"We have partnerships with Nidjalla Waangan Mia and Mandjoogoordap Dreaming which have been established over many years, based on mutual respect, understanding and a spirit of conciliation," she said.
"Aboriginal elder George Walley is very involved with our hospital and provides us with great support and wisdom.
"George sits on our community board of advice, which meets several times a year to provide feedback and recommendations on hospital services to public patients."
Aboriginal health liaison officers are available to provide support to Aboriginal patients and their families.
