Brazen theft of Mandurah café's tip jar caught on camera

Mandurah police are conducting investigations after a woman was caught on camera, red-handed, stealing a local café's tip jar.

A video was posted to social media on July 8 of the theft from San Churro Mandurah, with the store appealing for information.

The incident happened about 9.30pm on July 6.

San Churro Mandurah owner Karthik Sukumar said this incident was not isolated.

"We want to warn other businesses," he said.

"It happens often, about every month something gets stolen.

"It really affects us as a small business.

"It's frustrating as a local business owner to see people stealing so much in the community."

Mandurah Police Acting Senior Sergeant Ryan Van Der Heide said officers were investigating the incident.
