Mandurah residents and visitors have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community during NAIDOC week.
Held across Australia from July 7-14 this year, NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.
In 2019, the NAIDOC theme is 'Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let's work together for a shared future'. These were the three key elements to the reforms set out in the Uluru Statement from the Heart, that represent the unified position of First Nations Australians.
Check out our guide below to all the events happening around the Peel region for NAIDOC Week 2019. For more information about NAIDOC Week, visit the website.
