A bunch of young Moorey's Martial Arts pupils have shown they are stars on the rise notching a handful of strong results over recent weeks.
Lucy Robinson, Arj Reed, Trey Cockman, Sophie Ingledew, Devan Ninyette, Josh Allen and Linkin Young have all been impressive at the start of what could be long careers in the ring.
Lucy, Josh and Sophie all enjoyed victories at a special bouts event at the Yugal Club in Leederville last month, while Linkin fought admirably in his debut bout.
The following weeks saw Lucy return to the Yugal Club for a second win at the venue on Saturday, June 8 while Trey impressed in a loss on his debut.
Moorey's Martial Arts head coach Jason Moore said it was a proud time for the gym to see so many youngsters succeeding in the ring.
"We're over the moon for them," he said.
"We see how hard all these guys train and to think they're all still as young as they are blows you away a bit and you take a lot of pride in how well they're all doing."
Moore also cited the benefits boxing has had on the youngsters outside of the ring.
"It's amazing to see them develop as people," he said.
"We've got Devan now giving his time to mentor other younger kids coming through the system, and the other day Lucy even paid a visit to one of our injured boxers.
"They're the little things that you notice as they continue to grow and develop."
Up next, the gym will be fielding competitors at yet another Yugal Club fight night, with Devan, Lucy, Sophie, Arj and Trey all nominated for bouts.
