Foundation Christian College is preparing for a special NAIDOC Week this year, which includes a community open day.
Principal Keith Newby encouraged all families to attend the July 5 event.
"We have changed the format for our open days to suit all families, whether their children attend the college or not," she said.
Open day attendees can participate in a dream-walk discovery of highlights around the college, try a kangaroo sausage sizzle and get close to precious Australian animals.
The more adventurous can take part in an extreme obstacle course.
Wangi Aboriginal elder Aunty Josie will hold a storytelling session at 3.15pm.
The festivities commence at 3pm and will run until 5pm.
Throughout the week classes will take part in various activities, in particular, outdoor classroom activities such as bushwalking, artwork and cooking.
