The Halls Head Primary School SHINE students invite fellow Mandurah schools to journey over the rainbow with them, offering free tickets to local schools to watch their production of the classic show The Wizard of Oz.

SHINE Stage Arts is a new initiative created by the school in 2019. The program offers performing arts extension to selected students, who are then tasked with creating drama to share with their local community.

The SHINE students have partnered with the school choir to form a cast of over 70 young performers.

"We have been rehearsing hard all year to create a show we can be proud of," SHINE founder and director Sian Dhu said.

"Our students are excited to share their show with fellow young Mandurians, and we are proud to lead the way in creating free opportunities for kids in our community to experience theatre."

"Essentially, it's kids developing the artistic horizons of other kids - which is just awesome to be part of."

Schools wishing to attend should contact Ms Dhu at 9584 6900.
