This is my final say in Mandurah Mail.
What a time it has been reporting for the people across the Peel region.
I first moved to the city in October 2017.
Prior to that, I was writing for the Mail's sister paper, The Esperance Express.
When I moved to Mandurah I only knew a handful of people.
Since that time, I've more than likely written about a development in your suburb, snapped a photo of your colleague at a social event or covered unfolding news in your neighbourhood.
Working at the Mail has allowed me to get to know our wonderful community and I'm so thankful I took up the role.
I've covered some pretty big news stories in my short time here, from the 2019 federal election, heartbreaking crashes on our roads and the long-running Alcoa strike to our Wearable Art Showcase, the APES Games and, of course, Crab Fest.
Along with those stories that gained more attention, I've covered some great community tales. From street parades to art exhibitions, fundraisers and sporting achievements.
I've grown both professionally and personally here. It has been a big learning curve, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
During my time at the Mail, I've also been fortunate enough to have my photography nominated in the 2018 News Media Works (PANPA) Awards.
A huge thank you to those people who support their local newspaper.
It would be a sad day if a unique community like Mandurah had no-one to share their news.
The team behind the Mail works tirelessly to bring you the news each week.
Our team remains passionate about local priorities and committed to advocacy for our region.
No matter how you feel about the media, please support it into the future.
We're here to tell your stories.
