A 28-year-old Coodanup man has appeared in court after allegedly leading police on a dangerous pursuit through a number of Mandurah suburbs on Friday afternoon.
Gregory Beau James Pickett did not enter a plea to number of offences including reckless driving, criminal damage, trespass and endangering the life, health or safety of a person, when he appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on May 18.
Mr Pickett was remanded to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates court on June 4, 2019.
Police allege about 11.30 am on May 17, officers attempted to stop a White Mitsubishi Pajero they say was stolen from an address on Balwina Road in Greenfields.
The Mitsubishi was pursued by several police cars and the air wing division.
In the ensuing chase, police say the driver drove through five fences before going over a stinger device on Ranceby Avenue. Despite this, the vehicle made it into the Mandurah Forum underground car park.
It is alleged that reckless driving led to the Mitsubishi clipping a member of the public's vehicle, damaging a mirror, before it collided with a police car.
Mandurah Detectives are asking for anyone with information, in particular, anyone whose vehicle was struck by the stolen vehicle during the evade police incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
