National Volunteer Week (NVW) is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contributions of volunteers, with the event celebrating the 30-year milestone in 2019.
Running from May 20 to 26 this year, it is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of selfless souls in our community.
More than 6 million Australians volunteer. Every year, NVW acknowledges the social, economic and cultural contributions volunteers make to society.
Peel Volunteer Resource Centre (PVRC) will be holding a week-long interactive competition called 'Unlock the Possibilities', where over 200 keys with inspirational volunteering-inspired quotes will be placed throughout the Peel region.
If you find a key, bring it to the PVRC office within Mandurah Lotteries House at 7 Anzac Place to go into a draw to win prizes throughout NVW.
The event is supported by Volunteering WA and Lotterywest.
Clues on where to find a key will be posted on Peel Volunteer Resource Centre's Facebook page.
