Body of missing Mandurah mother believed to be found in Bluff Knoll

The body of a Mandurah mother who was missing in the Bluff Knoll area is believed to have been found.

A WA Police spokesman said the body, believed to be Lorjie Bautista, 38, was located near the foot of a steep incline in a dense bush area, well away from public access trails.

A wide-scale search for Ms Bautista commenced after she was last seen at 4am on Tuesday, May 7.

Ms Bautista is believed to have gone for a hike in the Stirling Ranges National Park, north of Albany, but she never returned.

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and the WA Police Force advise that the Bluff Knoll Road, car park and walk trail remain closed to the public due to this police operation.
