La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery Mandurah is a local destination offering a wide range of stylish and comfortable furniture designed to help families enjoy treasured moments together in comfort.
Owned by Richard, Shawna, Andrew and Carly, La-Z-Boy's friendly staff look after customers, assisting with a range of quality products and services, including in-home styling.
The original La-Z-Boy recliner was designed by two cousins in 1927.
Since then the company has become renowned for its quality, comfort and family values. Likewise, La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery Mandurah is a family-run business under the umbrella of the bigger La-Z-Boy family.
La-Z-Boy is an official partner with Ronald McDonald House, which supports families when a child is in hospital, away from home, by providing free accommodation.
La-Z-Boy has donated furniture to all the Ronald McDonald House programs in Australia.
Another initiative La-Z-Boy supports is The Nappy Collective, which redistributes donated nappies to charity partners who work directly with families experiencing some of their toughest moments.
From families who cannot afford nappies, to the homeless and those in crisis care seeking refuge from domestic violence, donations of nappies means one less thing for recipients to worry about.
Friends since childhood and business partners Shawna and Carly know all too well the importance of nappies and the impact they have on the family budget, especially as they have five children between them.
"There are so many significant costs of having a new baby," they said.
"We cannot imagine the worry of not being able to provide them with the simplest of things such as nappies."
The Nappy Collective is an initiative close to Shawna and Carly's hearts and throwing their support behind it was an easy decision. From May 10 to 24,
The Nappy Collective is running its national campaign to collect leftover, unused, disposable nappies and diverting them to families in crisis.
CEO of The Nappy Collective Lani Masuku said to date, The Nappy Collective had collected more than 2.6 million nappies through its bi-annual drives - more than 310,000 clean nappy days for its youngest beneficiaries.
Shawna and Carly said they were excited for their customers, employees and the wider community to take part in this initiative to help local families in need.
- La-Z-Boy Mandurah and Cannington will offer a $100 voucher to spend on La-Z-Boy furniture, in store, for every person who drops off nappies during the Collective (terms and conditions apply).
