Brett Hill's red hot form continued as he bagged a seven-goal haul to lead Centrals past the Mandurah Mustangs for an upset win on Sunday afternoon.
The key big put in a stellar performance on his way to another best afield performance - his fourth in the first five rounds - as Centrals snapped Mandurah's three-game winning streak for a 5.10 (40) to 15.11 (101) victory.
A tussle of a first quarter saw the Mustangs keep pace with their guests, but Centrals kept the hosts goalless in the second and fourth quarters as they stormed to the win.
Hill opened the scoring booting the day's first goal, but Lachie Bray, Matthew Bennell and Alex McLeod all hit the scoreboard to keep Mandurah just four points down at the end of the first.
It was all Centrals in the second, however, as they nailed three goals to none to take a 23-point buffer into the long break with majors to Hill, Grant Dunn and Tyler Kirkland.
The Blues put their foot down in the second half, with Hill slotting goals while Chase Garlett and Brad McPhail were in great form.
Their side was able to pile on eight goals to Mandurah's two in the second half, ending the day with an impressive 61-point victory to move them into fourth on the ladder, while Mandurah drop from third to fifth.
The Mustangs face a tall order in bouncing back next week as they host the undefeated Pinjarra Tigers, while Centrals take on Baldivis in what looms as a blockbuster.
