Brett Hill booted five goals in a best-on-ground performance as he spurred Centrals to a victory over South Mandurah at Mundijong Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Hill picked up his third set of best afield votes just four rounds into the season in the victory, as his Blues took out the 14.10 (94) to 7.5 (47) win.
The Falcons came into the game eager for their first win of the season and appeared up for the fight when superstar spearhead Brad Holmes scored their first of the day, but majors to Brendan Erceg, Chase Garlett and Tyler Kirkland saw the Blues to a two-goal buffer at the end of the first.
Holmes kicked truly again in the second as Souths threatened to come back into the frame, but Hill nailed his first as a response to give the Blues a cosy lead at half time.
From there Centrals put their foot down, scoring six goals as Jarrad Smith and Toby Gianatti pieced together strong performances.
Hill nailed three of his five majors in the third term while Smith and Grant Dunn also hit the scoreboard to see the home team out to a 44-point lead at the final change.
Warwick Taylor, Matthew Rubery and Rhys Price all kicked goals for the Falcons as they finished off strong, but Hill's fifth goal proved to be the icing on the cake of Centrals' second win of the season.
Centrals now sit in fifth on the ladder sharing a 2-2 record with Baldivis, while South Mandurah dwell at the depths as they continue the search for their first win.
The Falcons face another tough test going up against the top-of-the-table Pinjarra in round five, while Centrals will take on a red-hot Mandurah Mustangs outfit looking for a fourth straight win.
