You Are Youth Arts Festival

Mandurah's newest music, arts and youth festival is just a week away!
The much-anticipated You Are Youth Arts Festival will take over the Peel region for a weekend of epic entertainment for 13-18 year olds.
Organised by young people for young people, the inaugural event will feature dance shows, guitar jams, songwriting workshops as well as performances, swap markets and virtual reality gaming and plenty more.
Saturday boasts an epic lineup of tunes with amazing local musicians Navana, Mitch Martin, Guthrie, Felicity, Mitch Balldardin, India and Jake Hatch all set to take the stage.

Western Foreshore Skate Park Vision Workshop
- Where: Bill Bowler Skate Park, Hall Park
- When: 9am-12pm
The City of Mandurah is about to embark on the exciting task of creating a new recreation precinct on the Western Foreshore, including the development of a new adventure play space and the redevelopment of the existing Bill Bowler Skate Park into a destination skate and activity space.
Convic Design has been engaged by the city to deliver the concept design for the skate and activity space as the first stage in the delivery of the project.
Skaters, scooter riders, BMX riders, parents, business owners or interested community members are invited to be involved in the design process by attending the design workshops to help create a vision for this space.

May the Fourth at Norma Jeans

It's May the fourth soon and Code Six are celebrating the Jedi way at Norma Jeans.
Channel the force and dress up in anything Star Wars related to go in the draw to win two gold class tickets to see Rise of Skywalker at Ace Cinemas Rockingham as well as a $50 Nandos voucher.
DJ Nathan, DJ Daz and Nerve will be spinning the decks all night with electronic, dance, drum and bass, remixed R&B, rap and trap blasting from the speakers at the main stage. Meanwhile, the VIP bar will be playing all the biggest hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Serpentine Jarrahdale Food and Farm Festival
- Where: Quarry Farm, 1475 South Western Hwy in Whitby

The SJ Food and Farm Fest is back for 2019 with plenty of exciting activities, competitions and demonstrations on the menu for this year.
The interactive festival is designed for people from urban areas to meet people who own peri-urban rural properties and who produce food, products and services that benefit our community.
For the $10 adult entry fee, community members can take part in all that there is on offer and listen to a variety of speakers all designed to raise awareness of the importance of soil health.
This family friendly day also includes plenty of action for the kids from arts and crafts to making music, face painting, camel rides, pony rides to a petting zoo and even a pumpkin rolling competition for both big and little children.
The Alpaca Society and the Waroona Poultry Society will hold breed shows for the first time this year. There will also be plenty of market stalls, live music and a range of healthy foods to enjoy.

Ngaru Pou

Act-Belong-Commit and global music and dance group Hot Shore Shuffle have teamed up to bring Ngaru Pou to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre stage.
Showcasing some of the best multicultural talent around, Ngaru Pou are a Maori culture group dedicated to giving children an opportunity to embrace their Maori heritage.
This powerful, knowledgeable show is free and will take place at MPAC on Sunday, May 5 at 1pm. For more information, visit the website.
Formed in 2014, they teach the Maori language, traditions, protocols, values and the essence of being united as one and put on an impressive display of New Zealand culture.

Lez Karski and Billy Neal at Murphy's

Put on your dancing shoes Mandurah - Murphys Irish Pub are preparing to welcome back legendary blues duo Lez Karski and Billy 'Driving Wheel' Neal this weekend.
Back by popular demand, the Aussie soul legends will once again join forces to perform another impressive and unrivaled show on Sunday, May 5 from 5.30pm.
Karski is an ex-member of, and the unique vocal and guitar style behind successful blues and roots band Bondi Cigars. Joining him on stage will be world saxophonist extraordinaire, Billy Neal who is a regular feature on the international tour circuit and at the Chicago All Souls festival.
The duo will play with Paul Myers on bass and Tony King on drums.
