A handful of the Mandurah Mustangs' integrated football guns took to the field at Optus Stadium as part of the North v South all-stars game on Good Friday.
The match, played as a curtain raiser to the West Coast v Port Adelaide AFL clash, saw the state's best integrated footy talents hitting the park at Perth's signature venue, with Mustangs Shane Chandler, Daniel Hopkins, Jeremy Polmear, David Lloyd and Trent Williams all representing the South team.
Integrated football is designed for males and females aged over 16-years-old living with intellectual disabilities.
Lloyd was on fire from the get-go, jailing the Souths first goal to provide a highlight for the day.
The North would eventually take control of the match and go on to win, but Mustangs coordinator Jamie Hunter said the day provided the perfect platform to grow integrated footy.
"So many people at the game didn't actually know what integrated footy was until they saw it," he said.
"Right now it's just about giving it as much spotlight as possible and growing the game, so more people living with disability can join in.
"I was so proud of our Mandurah guys and how they played, you could tell they just loved the whole experience of the stadium.
"They represented our club so well and showed how far they've come in a short amount of time."
The Mustangs' next integrated game will be held at Rushton Park this Saturday, 3.30pm.
