The team at Falcon Volunteer Fire and Rescue will open its doors to the public next month, showcasing the behind-the-scenes work of a Mandurah firefighter.
The inaugural open day starting at 11am on May 4 will include a variety of displays and demonstrations focused on fire prevention and the work the team undertakes both locally and state-wide.
The Jaws of Life will be used on a vehicle, there will be a structural fire demonstration, basic CPR lessons from a St John Ambulance representative and lessons on how to use a fire extinguisher.
Come down and enjoy what should be a great atmosphere.

In addition, there will be a sausage sizzle, face painting, jumping castle and a visit from Fireman Sam.
Falcon captain Kim Glass said the day provided a chance for the community to learn more about the fire brigade.
"Come down, learn about the fire service, grab sausage sizzle and enjoy what should be a great atmosphere," he said. The event coincides with International Firefighters Day, with the brigade unveiling a memorial onsite. This will be at noon and will be followed by a minute's silence.
The event will conclude at 2.30pm. The fire brigade is located at 68 Cobblers Road, next to the Falcon Library.
