Tributes have flooded in for a Rockingham Peel Group doctor and her husband, who were killed in the Easter Sunday terror attacks in Sri Lanka.
Dr Sally Bradley and her retired firefighter husband Bill Harrop were staying in the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo when one of the seven suicide bombers struck.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr Bradley had been practicing medicine in Western Australia for six years.
She quickly became a well-respected member of the state's health department and most recently worked as the director of clinical services at the Rockingham Peel Group.
The Group comprises of Rockingham General Hospital, Murray District Hospital, Mandurah Community Health Centre, Kwinana Community Health, Rockingham Community Mental Health Service and Peel Community Mental Health Service.
Rockingham Peel Group executive director Kath Smith told 6PR Ms Bradley had only left Perth to join her husband and stepson Gavin in Sri Lanka on Friday.
"[Bill] was going to meet up with Gavin for a few days and then Sally would join them," she said.
"She left Perth on Friday, and it's my understanding she was meeting them on Saturday. I knew she was in Sri Lanka, I wasn't sure what hotel she was in but I knew they were spending a few days, as Sally put it, in one of those posh hotels and then they were going to move onto other parts of Sri Lanka."
South Metropolitan Health Service chief executive Mark Cawthorne issued a statement on behalf of the service following the news of her death.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr Sally Bradley and her husband Bill Harrop in Sri Lanka," he said.
"She will be greatly missed by her colleagues in the South Metropolitan Health Service and all who worked with her.
"Our thoughts are with her family and friends."
WA Premier Mark McGowan said he was "deeply saddened" to hear about the loss of the couple.
"Two extremely valued people living and working in WA," Mr McGowan wrote on Twitter.
"My thoughts are with their family and friends and Dr Bradley's colleagues at South Metropolitan Health Service."
