The founder of Australia's strictest residential rehabilitation centre, Peter Lyndon-James, will host a Tough Love seminar in Mandurah next month.
The Shalom House founder and chief executive officer will lead the event, discussing families, drug use and how to help the ones you love.
A former drug addict himself, the author of Tough Love: Tackling addiction and seeing change set up the residential rehabilitation facility in 2012.
Since then, he has been on a mission throughout the country to restore the lives of men by getting them free of addiction.
Presented by Calvary Youth Services and the City of Mandurah, the seminar will be held on May 2 and will focus on presenting the "hard truths", recognising addiction and helping families be "equipped to help those you love".

Mr Lyndon-James describes the seminar on his website as opening the eyes of many community members.
"In our country and throughout the rest of the world we have an epidemic on our hands - ice has taken over the minds, hearts and homes of people from all walks of life," he said.
"The Tough Love seminar is designed to equip families and individuals with the right ways in which they can help their loved ones beat addiction.
"Sadly, many families think they are doing the right thing but in the actual fact they are doing the wrong thing.
"By the time they realise, it is too hard to turn back - the ripple effect has spread through the whole family and taken everyone out in the process."
Mr Lyndon-James is a 2017 Western Australian of the year, a 2017 Telstra Business Awards WA charity award winner and the 2018 Australian of the year WA local hero.
He will host the Tough Love seminar on May 2 at the Meadow Springs sporting facility on Oakmont Avenue, from 9am-1pm.
All are welcome and it is free admission with light refreshments served.
