Audiences will be promised plenty of laughs when Jim Cartwright's timeless comedy Two takes to the stage at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre later this month.
Produced by Ensemble Theatre and directed by Mark Kilmurry, the show will play on Wednesday, April 24.
Set in a local pub, Two introduces the regulars - a misfit crowd of 14 eccentric characters, skillfully played by Sea Patrol actor Brian Meegan and A Country Practice's Kate Raison.
Some of the characters include Moth who loves Maud, and every other woman, fervently.
There is Mrs Iger who longs for quiet, strong men and Roy who is possessive and jealous of anybody who even looks at Lesley.
Deftly and joyously brought to life by a middle-aged landlord and landlady couple, these two have served every kind of person over the years.
After meeting as children outside the pub, the couple were engaged and had their wedding reception in the pub before buying it for themselves.
They tell each of their memorable customers' stories in a heart-warming, funny and poignant way.
As various members of the local community pull up a stool and provide insight into their lives, it becomes clear that Two is essentially about relationships.
As they bicker their way through the night, none on display is more fascinating than that of the storytellers themselves.
Two will play at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday, April 24 at 7.30pm.
