Rockingham's blazing start to the Peel Football and Netball League season continued when they demolished South Mandurah to the tune of 88 points at Falcon Oval on Saturday afternoon.
A best-afield effort from Steve Kenny and a dominant first half in which the Rams kept the Falcons goalless paved the way to an 8.11 (59) to 23.9 (147) victory, Rockingham's second straight.
Following on from significant performances in front of goal in round one, Rams forwards Tyler Sutton and Luke Dowling continued their stellar form as both bagged five goals while Jakob Janzekovic nailed four for himself.
The Rams looked up and about early when all three hit the scoreboard with one goal apiece in the first term.
Hard work from Fraser Millar and Brad Walsh around the ground helped feed the Rockingham forwards, while keeping South Mandurah without a major despite scoring a pair of behinds.
The Falcons received solid efforts from Steven Clune and John Bennell throughout, but a five-goal to zip second term allowed Rockingham a 49-point buffer at the long break.
Despite the big margin South Mandurah sparked into action in the second half, booting four goals in the third term as majors to Jamie Humble and Riley Steinbock got the ball rolling.
But the Rams extended their lead with five of their own as Dowling bagged his third to cap off the quarter.
South Manudrah conjured another four in the final term as star forward Brad Holmes bagged his first two goals for the season on back-to-back majors, but Rockingham couldn't be stopped as they piled up a further 10.
Noah Hura and Millar both slotted their second goals for the day in the late stages, before Sutton's fifth put the icing on the cake of a percentage-boosting win for the Rams.
Rockingham now sits atop the table with a percentage of 187.66.
South Mandurah will look to haul themselves out of bottom spot when they take on Mandurah in an Anzac Day derby next week, while Rockingham goes up against Centrals after a weekend off.
