The Zonta Club of Peel held its International Women's Day Dinner recently, celebrating the efforts of three local women in the community.

Zonta member Wendy Kirkby said the Worthy Woman of Achievement award was presented to Kaye Seeber for her work with young people and ensuring high schools have chaplains.

"She has also started up a Mum's Cottage in Mandurah," she said.

Ms Kirkby said Kelee Aberg was a worthy winner of the Young Woman of Peel Award.

The City of Mandurah the Education Award went to Cathy Qian Li, who is studying her second year Bachelor of Nursing.

Members, friends and City of Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams were in attendance on the night.
