Mark Sunday April 7 in your diary because one of the premier social events on the Peel Districts calendar, the $120,000 2019 TABtouch Pinjarra Cup, takes place at Pinjarra Park.
There is always something magical about Pinjarra Cup Day.
Ask anyone who has ever been and they will tell you what a great day out it is.
In addition to the exciting thoroughbred racing action on the track, there will be Fashions On The Field for both the ladies and the gents.
Get ready to strut your stuff as the ladies' winner will take home a gorgeous $6000 diamond courtesy of the Mandurah Mail and Andrew Ralph's Diamond Jewellers Halls Head.
The gentlemen will definitely not be left out, as there will be a division for them, with a wonderful Thomas Sabo watch for the winner, also courtesy of Andrew Ralph's Diamond Jewellers, so dress to impress.
Also on offer are great prizes from Country Comfort Perth, Viva Photography, Track Fashions - Mandurah Marina, Mount Trio Wines and Peel Flower House.
Registrations commence from gate opening at the desk next to the stage.
A $1000 gift voucher from Mandurah Forum is also up for grabs.
Take a selfie at the photo booth inside the main gate and tag Mandurah Forum in to be in the running.
The mammoth infield 100-square-metre HD big screen will also be broadcasting all the thoroughbred action from Pinjarra and around Australia.
AFL action will also be on the TVs at the main bars.
Live music will be provided by popular duo Leather 'n' Lace.
A mounting yard preview will be held prior to every horse race to help punters in the right direction.
There is plenty of free entertainment for the kids including pony rides, glitter 'tattoo' and a bouncy castle. Kids under 16 who are accompanied by an adult will get free entry to the racecourse.
General admission tickets are $25 per person with pre-purchase available from Pinjarra Race Club. Rear Lawn (Fashions on the Field) or Trackside Gazebo Gully has limited Gazebo space available for an additional $140 per Gazebo that suits 10.
Hungry? Check out the takeaway food outlets and the downstairs Family of Man restaurant. Cool off with a drink from one of several beverage outlets, perhaps the award-winning Thorny Devil craft beer on tap at the Old Bookies Bar.
A Peel Bus Hire shuttle bus is available at a charge. It will connect to Transperth trains from Mandurah station and depart from other key landmarks in the Mandurah/Pinjarra area to the racecourse and then return later in the day. Shuttle bus bookings are essential. Bookings can be made by contacting Peel Bus Charters on 0412 911 938.
