Golden Bay man charged over Singleton petrol station armed robbery

Police have charged a 24-year-old Golden Bay man accused of threatening Singleton petrol station staff with a tomahawk. 

Regional Investigations Unit Detectives charged the man with armed robbery, as a result of their investigation into the incident on March 24, 2019.

It will be alleged about 1.10am, the man entered the Mandurah Road store with his face covered and carrying a tomahawk, before threatening staff. 

It is further alleged he smashed a glass door that led to the staff area and stole a quantity of cash and tobacco.

The man is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 27 March 2019.
