A 27-year-old Lakelands woman has been charged with falsely reporting her car as stolen, after a man that was driving it reversed into a police motorcycle in Golden Bay on March 15.
Mandurah Detective Senior Sergeant Trevor Troy said the woman was charged with creating false belief, on Monday, and is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court later this month.
Senior Sergeant Troy said police allege the woman had been asked by Lakelands man Benjamin Alexandre Nicholas, 25, to falsely report the car as stolen to police.
The Lakelands man has not entered a plea to several charges including endangering the life, health or safety of a person, reckless driving to escape police pursuit and criminal damage.
He is due to reappear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court on March 29.
