The Mandurah Netball Association's teams notched some mixed results in round six of Netball WA's Metro League, with their under 18s notching a win over Swan Districts while their remaining outfits suffered losses.
The Waves' under 18s squad was superb against the lowly Swans side, more than doubling their score in an emphatic 53-26 victory.
It's the side's second win for the campaign, and keeps their hopes of climbing the ladder alive while giving them valuable momentum ahead of a clash with the unbeaten Perth Netball Association this coming Friday.
The results weren't quite as sweet for Mandurah's open grade team, as they suffered a gut-wrenching one-point loss at the hands of Belmont.
The close encounter concluded with a 58-57 defeat for the Waves, putting them in fourth spot on the ladder with a record of three wins, two losses and one draw from their six games.
Mandurah's under 16s were dealt their second loss of the campaign going down 52-38 to the undefeated Noranda Netball Association.
Fortunately they remain in third spot on the table, but Joondalup closed within a game of the side after beating Success 56-32.
Rounding out Mandurah's results was an admirable performance from the under 14s, who went down 23-36 to the top-spot Noranda.
The Peel Football and Netball League's division one outfit struggled in their clash against the premier side of the competition, the state under 19s, going down with a 71-14 loss.
Metro League action returns to the State Netball Centre this Friday night.
