Mandurah Detectives are investigating roughly 20 commercial and home burglaries over the weekend, allegedly committed by a group of offenders involved in a police pursuit on Monday.
Mandurah Detective Senior Sergeant Trevor Troy said a spate of burglaries were committed in North Yunderup, Barragup, Greenfields and Meadow Springs.
"We had about 20 reports from Saturday and Sunday which is an exorbitant amount for us, given we normally see four or five a day," he said.
Senior Sergeant Troy suspects a vehicle stolen in Pinjarra on Saturday was used in relation to the offending.
On Monday, a black Sedan failed to stop for police on Forrest Highway.
Senior Sergeant Troy said a person in the back of the car was throwing items from the window during the pursuit.
Police lost sight of the Sedan travelling at speed, which was later reported on fire, in Pinjarra.
Senior Sergeant Troy has asked for information from members of the public who may have seen the vehicle over the weekend in these areas.
"We would appreciate any help from the public on the movements of the Sedan," he said.
Any one with information or CCTV of suspicious behaviour is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
