Mandurah Detectives hold fears for a burglar who left blood spatters throughout a Meadow Springs home after being attacked by the home owner's dog.
Mandurah Detective Senior Sergeant Trevor Troy said he expected the offender, who entered the Windcrest Way home overnight, will need medical treatment.
"Detectives are investigating the burglary and hold fears for the burglar due to blood spatters discovered in several rooms," he said.
It's the result of a dog defending its master's property.

Senior Sergeant Troy said nothing was stolen from the property.
He asked the man to hand himself in to police for questioning.
