Canadian born country music sensation Dail Platz is headed back to Mandurah to bring his latest show, Highwaymen, to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre stage.
The production, based on the live show 'The Highwaymen Live at Nassau Coliseum' from the 1990s, is a tribute concert jam packed with more than 30 songs.
Platz will be joined by Graeme Jensen, Gary LeGear, Dallas Southam and Laurie Keating on stage to re-create the magic of the original Highwaymen - Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson.
An international country artist, Platz performed in the true honky-tonks and bars of North America for years before making the move to Australia.
Since touching down in the land of Oz, he has toured for more than seven years and performed over 500 shows around the country, including creating, producing and starring in the 'Grand Ole' Opry Tribute', 'Johnny Cash Tribute with The Tennessee Two', 'The Alan Jackson Tribute Show' and 'The Willie Nelson Tribute Show'.
With an unrivaled talent on both the acoustic and electric guitars, the fiddle, mandolin and five-string banjo and a versatile vocal range to match, Platz is one of the best critically-acclaimed entertainers in Australia.
Platz said the show was a labour of love and would definitely entertain audiences.
His new show Highwaymen features hits including 'Ring Of Fire', 'You Were Always On My Mind', 'The Highwayman', 'On the Road Again' plus more of the band members' biggest hits.
With plenty of instrumental talent to mimic the sound from the original quartet, there will be six shows across the state as part of the Western Australian leg of the tour.
