We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, Somebody to Love - there are so many hits from the iconic English rock band Queen, it's hard to name a favourite.
With decades of number one records and a fan base that spans every corner of the globe, the quartet are arguably one of the greatest of all time.
Now, global phenomenon show ‘We Will Rock You’ is bringing the best of Queen to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre stage with an epic production based on the band's top hits.
The Platinum Entertainment production will showcase a cast of handpicked local dance and choral talent alongside WA theatre stars Slim Jim, Feminem, Blake Williams, Holly Denton and married vocal duo Paula Parore and Clay Darius.
The show follows main character Galileo who lives in a Dystopian future devoid of music where the government has replaced all music with Computer Recorded Auto-tune Pop (C.R.A.P).
Galileo dreams of music phrases, talks in music terms, hears melodies and doesn't understand where they come from so he goes on a quest, with the help of Scaramouche and the Bohemian Rebels, to bring back rock music.
We sat down with the principal performers before they take to the stage on March 27, and chatted all things Queen, stage superstitions and life outside of the theatre.
"The show is great and this is my dream role, this is why I did musical theatre," Holly Denton, who plays Scaramouche, said.
"The energy is amazing and the quality of the songs are just absolute killer," Slim Jim, who plays Buddy, said.
