Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a man over the alleged sexual assault of a young girl in a suburb south of Perth on Saturday.
Police will allege the 29-year-old broke into the victim's home and sexually assaulted her on the morning of February 23.
A family member of the victim located the man inside the house and held him until Police arrived.
It is believed the man was temporarily staying at a neighbour's house.
He has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual penetration of a child under 13, attempted sexual penetration of a child under 13, three counts of aggravated indecent dealing of a child under 13, aggravated burglary and threaten to kill.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
