Falcon Skate Park design reveal
- Where: Falcon Skate Park

The City of Mandurah have completed the design workshops for the new Falcon Skate Park thanks to input from the local community.
The team who spearheaded the project will reveal the new design at a special event on Saturday. There will be a free sausage sizzle and prizes on offer for skaters throwing down tricks and having a good time.
Alternative Archives exhibition

Mandurah has officially opened the first of what will be a state-wide exhibition celebrating archives and heritage.
Alternative Archive is a contemporary visual archive or archival process of an aspect of the Peel, drawn from personal relationships with the people, places and stories around them.
Twelve local artists have drawn inspiration from a variety of local organisations including the Mandurah Community Museum and the reserve collection of the Battye Library to investigate historical archives and relationships with the people, places and stories around them.

Dawesville Cut clean up
- Where: Port Bouvard marina car park
- When: 9-11am
Coastal Waste Warriors are hosting another beach clean up this weekend at the Dawesville Cut to prevent discarded plastic, the biggest threat to marine animals, from reaching the ocean.
Hundreds of thousands of marine life and millions of sea birds die every year from entanglement, ingestion and suffocation from debris.
The group will meet at the Port Bouvard marina car park on Rees Place in Wannanup. The event is open to everyone. Participants are encouraged to wear sun smart clothing, a hat, sunscreen, enclosed shoes and to bring a water bottle and gloves.

Bush fire service open day

- When: 10am
Mandurah Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) will host an open day at the Mandurah fire station on Sunday morning for the community.
The MVFRS group are hoping to speak with residents interested in joining the volunteer fire fighter team to give them an insight into the job and its commitments.
Chaff City Pinjarra Classic

- When: 1-5pm
It’s time to frock up and get trackside to witness a great day of racing at Pinjarra Park.
Each year, keen race-goers converge at the turf club for for the time honoured $120,000 Pinjarra Classic over 1300m.
Sponsored by the team headed by Brad Souness at Chaff City, the family friendly event is the one of the biggest of the season.
There will be plenty of food and drinks available, kids entertainment and of course, betting action for punters.
