The Department of Fire and Emergency Services battled two bushfires on Wednesday night in the Shire of Murray, but have issued an all clear for residents and motorists.
The bigger of the two blazes saw Pinjarra Road closed on Wednesday evening, but at 10.25pm DFES confirmed the fire had been extinguished.
The fire, which was burning near the intersection of Pinjarra and Phillips Roads, led to emergency crews from across the region attending.
Authorities are patrolling the area on Thursday morning. The area is still shrouded in smoke and as such motorists are asked to reduce their speed.
The cause of the blaze is unknown and the fire covered about 2.5 hectares of land.
A second blaze was reported at 6pm near Old Mandurah Road and Lazenby Drive.
A tree and surrounding logs were reported to be on fire, with crews extinguishing it quickly.
