A Waroona woman has been fined $2000 after her two dogs wandered onto a property in Waroona and attacked a male sheep.
Amanda Jackson, 37, did not appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday, but entered an endorsed plea of guilty to having a dog in a place without consent and being the person liable for a dog attack on a person or animal.
Shire of Waroona prosecutor Ron Porter said the incident occurred about 11.30am on October 22, 2018.
The owner of the ram, which was believed to be a pet, was working in his shed when he heard his dog, a Jack Russell, barking.
Mr Porter told the court the man came out to investigate and saw "two Mastiff-type dogs in the front of his property".
A male dog, named Brutus, attacked the ram, causing puncture wounds to its rear right leg.
"The man yelled 'get out of it you mongrel'," Mr Porter said.
"The dogs came over to him and he was able to restrain them."

Mr Porter said the maximum fine for the offences was a combined $15,000.
Magistrate Anne Longden said the dogs had been re-homed because Jackson could no longer care for them.
She also took into consideration her early plea and that she paid for the vet bills for the sheep.
Jackson was fined $2000 and ordered to pay $205.30 in court costs.
The Mandurah Mail has recently highlighted the prevalence of dog attacks after a wave of incidents in the Peel region in 2018.
The City of Mandurah revealed more than 1000 attacks had been recorded in the area in the last five years.
