Police have confirmed the identity of the 23-year-old man found dead in a Cooper Street shed last week as Roy James Erwin.
Mr Erwin’s body was located deceased in the rear shed of a vacant Mandurah property on Friday.
Tributes have flowed on the Mandurah resident’s Facebook page, which states he was originally from Maryborough in Queensland.
Caroline Flynn posted a heartfelt message on Tuesday morning.
“Rest in peace little man,” she said.
“It’s a cruel, cruel world out there and things hadn’t been anywhere near perfect for you, but you still gave life a chance at the worst of times.
“I’m sorry this has happened to you.

Marlon Bennell said he wished the pair had caught up more and he would miss their times together and “long talks during the night”.
David Morris Best, 56, did not enter a plea to murder when he appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday.
He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear in the Stirling Gardens on February 27.
