Police confirm identity of alleged Mandurah murder victim as Roy James Erwin

Police have confirmed the identity of the 23-year-old man found dead in a Cooper Street shed last week as Roy James Erwin.

Mr Erwin’s body was located deceased in the rear shed of a vacant Mandurah property on Friday.

Tributes have flowed on the Mandurah resident’s Facebook page, which states he was originally from Maryborough in Queensland.

Caroline Flynn posted a heartfelt message on Tuesday morning.

“Rest in peace little man,” she said.

“It’s a cruel, cruel world out there and things hadn’t been anywhere near perfect for you, but you still gave life a chance at the worst of times.

“I’m sorry this has happened to you.

No one deserves this.
