WA Police are calling for witnesses after a 23-year-old man was found dead at a Mandurah property on Friday morning.
Acting inspector Karen Santoro said homicide detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of the man’s death after he was found at a vacant Cooper Street residence.
“At approximately 11.30am on Friday morning, police were called to a report of a man sleeping in a shed at the address,” she said.
"Police attended and as a result officers located a 23-year-old male deceased.
“The identity of the male has been established.
“The person who found him was a visitor to the property that is not known to the deceased.
“At this stage it is too early in the investigation to comment on injuries but that is part of the investigation.”
Acting inspector Santoro would not comment on whether police had attended the property in the recent past. She said the property was vacant, but would not confirm if the deceased man was squatting there.
She said the man’s identity would be released in due course and it was unclear how long he had been deceased for before he was found.
