Saturday, February 16

WAITANGI DAY
- Mandurah Eastern Forshore, 9am
Hundreds of people will gather at the eastern foreshore to celebrate New Zealand culture with the city's annual Waitangi Day festivities.
Reverend Mervin Enoka will open the day at 9am followed by a Welcome to Country performed by George Walley.
Traditional cuisine and a bundle of entertainment will keep the crowd occupied throughout the day.
DWELLINGUP LOG CHOP
- Dwellingup Oval, 9am
The region's keen lumberjacks will test their skills at the 2019 installment of the annual Dwellingup Log Chop on Saturday.
Along with the enthralling competition punters will be treated to plenty of stalls and plenty of entertainment for the kids.
VANDERAA LIVE AT THREE RIVERS
- Three Rivers Brewing Company, 6pm
Live music returns to the Three Rivers Brewing Company as they team up with Mataya Eatery to bring listeners an evening with Darwin brothers VanderAa.
VanderAa’s sound blends a mix of drum, djembe, beatboxing, didgeridoo, guitar, looping and vocals, with their show at Three Rivers kicking off at 6pm.

BLUES AND ROOTS
- Ravenswood Hotel, 4pm
A stellar line-up of talented rockers and a sold out crowd will converge on the Ravenswood Hotel for the fourth annual Blues and Roots Festival this Saturday night.
The show - which has become a huge hit among both artists and music lovers in the Peel region - will see legends Russell Morris and Ash Grunwald headlining, supported by the likes of Matt Taylor and Chain, Dave Hole and Blue Shaddy.
Tickets are sold out, with gates opening at 4pm.

GOLF FOR A GOOD CAUSE
- Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club, 6.30am
The Asbestos Diseases Society of Australia will hold a four-ball ambrose fundraising golf day at the Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club on Sunday.
Registration for the event opens at 6.30am, with golfers set to tee off from 8.30am.
