A stellar line-up of talented rockers and a sold out crowd will converge on the Ravenswood Hotel for the fourth annual Blues and Roots Festival this Saturday night.
The show - which has become a huge hit among both artists and music lovers in the Peel region - will see legends Russell Morris and Ash Grunwald headlining, supported by the likes of Matt Taylor and Chain, Dave Hole and Blue Shaddy.
Beloved local acts Lightnin' Jack and Applejack and Moonshine will also hit the stage, along with a handful of other talented bands and musicians.
Lightnin' Jack, who has featured on the event's line-up since its inception, said the Blues and Roots Festival is a combination of the ideal venue mixed with an energetic crowd.
"It's an absolute cracker," he said.
"The location is perfect with the river on the backdrop and it really adds to the show.
"I've been playing at the Ravo since I was a kid and every time you go there you know you're going to enjoy playing the set.
"The crowd is raucous, absolutely raucous. They give you so much energy and you can tell there's a real appreciation for blues music in the region.
"As an artist it's just a really good show to be a part of."
The South West musician, who has previously toured with Grunwald and Blue Shaddy and has played support for Hole, said this year's line-up was "like family".
"When these sorts of shows pop up you've probably already played with half the guys on the line-up," he said.
"You're all just part of a big family so when you get together for these festivals it's just one big party."
Those heading to the festival can catch Lightnin' Jack playing two 20-minute sets on the South Stage, the first of which kicks off at 7.10pm before the second follows an hour later.
Gates to the festival open at 4pm.
