A Coodanup teenager accused of a Christmas Day hit and run which left a man seriously injured has appeared in the Mandurah Magistrates Court.
Brittany Lee Bramble, 18, did not enter pleas to to failing to stop and ensure assistance was received after an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm and being the driver of a car involved in an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm and failing to report the incident to police.
Magistrate Anne Longden refused an application by the prosecution for a closed court on the basis of "security issues".
Ms Bramble's lawyer Clare Hay asked the court for a six-week adjournment so her client could apply for legal aid.
Ms Bramble is due to reappear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on March 26, 2019.
Her bail was renewed.
In December 2018, Mandurah Detectives alleged a man was located unconscious about 6.45pm on Mandurah Road, north bound, between Pinjarra Road and Leslie Street, Mandurah.
Mandurah Mail has blurred the accused's face on legal advice.
