Mandurah City enjoyed a successful second game of their night series group stage, whipping Fremantle 4-1 at Edinburgh Oval on Saturday.
Coach Alex Grayson made three changes entering the game with Kieron Shail, Joe O’Brien and Oscar Thompson coming in.
The combination proved a successful one as Mandurah dominated, with O'Brien nailing consecutive goals early to put the Dolphins up 2-0.
But complacency allowed Fremantle a way back into the game as they grabbed one back just before half time.
However Mandurah stepped it up once again in the second half, with some lovely play between Andy Brown, Reece Allan, Thompson and Shail resulting in a goal for Lee Stewart to extend the lead 3-1.
Michael de Bellis went on to ice the game curling home a delightful free kick.
The victory left coach Grayson in good spirits, but he insists his side can do more as they continue to progress.
"I’m really pleased with the performance and result again but we all believe we can step up another gear," he said.
"There are plenty of positives and the boys are playing with smiles on their faces."
Mandurah City will now enter next week's game looking to finish the group stages off strong.
