US actor Richard Gere has become a father again at the age of 69.
His spokesman confirmed the news on Tuesday but did not provide the baby's name, place or date of birth.
Gere's wife Alejandra Silva had made the pregnancy public in September with a post on Instagram, which has since been deleted.
The photo showed the Dalai Lama placing his hand on her stomach with Gere, a friend of the Tibetan spiritual leader and a Buddhist, standing by her side.
"Receiving a blessing from our precious soon to come... we couldn't announce it before telling His Holiness the Dalai Lama," the post read.
The Pretty Woman actor married the Spanish publicist in April 2018.
Both already have children from previous marriages.
