Western Power are working to restore power to about 4000 homes in Mandurah’s northern suburbs on Wednesday morning.

An outage in Meadow Springs has impacted surrounding suburbs including San Remo, Madora Bay and Lakelands.

Emergency response crews attended a large outage in the Meadow Springs area early this morning and ground crews have been inspecting the network.

A Western Power spokesman said as each section is cleared and declared safe, the network operations team were able to restore power to affected homes and businesses.

The Western Power website states that the estimated time of the issue being remedied is 10am.

At 10.45am, about 500 customers were still without power but the spokesman said power would be restored shortly.

The cause of the original fault outage has not been identified.
