Mandurah’s biggest street party is coming to the ‘top of the terrace’ on the Australia Day long weekend.
Mandurah Terrace will be closed on Sunday, January 27 for Australia Day kick-ons with a charity cricket match and Triple J Hottest 100 after party.
The Summer Bash, raising money for the McGrath Foundation, will take over the Redmanna and Gloria Jeans car park from 2pm.
Eight teams, each with four players, will battle it out on the pitch with backyard cricket rules for a trophy, $200 in venue vouchers and, of course, bragging rights.
The inaugural event will also have prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed team and a complimentary drink for each competitor.
Across the road in the courtyard between Brighton Hotel and The Bridge Garden Bar, a Kids Zone will be set up adding to the family friendly atmosphere of the event.
The Zone will include kids’ activities and bouncy castles. It will be a gold coin donation to participate with all proceeds being donated to the McGrath Foundation.
