Toasty conditions have caused delays for trains travelling on the Mandurah and Joondalup Lines.
About midday on Sunday, Transperth issued an alert to customers that trains would not be running to the regular schedule due to the weather condition.
Transperth urged travellers to all extra time and to be aware that delayed trains “may not connect with timetabled bus and train services”.
Trains and buses weren’t the only services to be impacted by the scorching weather on Sunday.
Power outages occurred in several locations from as south as Albany to as north as Geraldton.
Locally, the heat caused traffic signals to be blacked out at the Mandurah and Old Coast Road intersection in Halls Head for a short period of time on Sunday morning.
