An elderly moped driver has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital after a crash in Halls Head on Friday morning.
About 9.15am, a man in his 70s was driving along Old Coast Road when his moped allegedly clipped a passing car.
A WA Police spokesperson said while reports had come through of a serious hit an run incident, local officers could not confirm it was the cause of the crash.
Mandurah’s officer in charge Senior Sergeant Darren Hart said the incident was minor and didn’t appear to be a hit and run situation.

Officers at the scene, along the stretch of road between Rutland Drive and Leisure Way, directed traffic while St John Ambulance assisted the driver.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the man had sustained leg injuries that were non-life-threatening.
She said he had been taken to a Perth facility rather that Peel Health Campus to access specialist treatments for leg injuries.
The area has since been cleared. Police will continuing to investigate.
