A Greenfields man, allegedly found with drugs and false plates, “just needed to go to the shops” when police pulled him over along Thomson Street on Tuesday.
On January 15, Peel Traffic Enforcement Group officers stopped the 32-year-old in Mandurah after they noticed stickers on the rear of his motorbike, which were mail box numbering.
After questioning the man, police found out that his driver’s licence has recently been suspended in the Mandurah Magistrates Court.
A search of the man and his motorbike allegedly revealed a small amount of white crystal substance.
The man was charged with possession of prohibited drugs, displaying false plates, having no authority to drive (due to suspension) and operating an unlicensed vehicle.
He will appear at a later date in Mandurah Magistrates Court.
A WA Police spokeswoman said officers were also making further inquiries into a stolen motor vehicle report.
