Commuters travelling on two Mandurah and Joondalup Line trains on Wednesday were some of the first to benefit from an eight-week trial for free onboard WiFi.
Two buses operating on Route 950 and the Subiaco and Elizabeth Quay stations are also included in the trial that started on January 16.
Travellers are urged to keep their eyes peeled as the locations connected with free wi-fi will be marked with signage.

The trial came after an announcement by WA transport minister Rita Saffioti in August 2018.
The service will be provided by Optus, with the contract arrangement allowing the trial to proceed with no direct costs to the state government.
“The Transperth PSM shows passengers are already very happy with their services, but this is something the government was keen to trial to see if we could further improve the passenger experience,” Ms Saffioti said at the time.
Following this trial, usage and feedback will determine whether free WiFi will be continued and rolled out across the network.
