A 69-year-old Mandurah pensioner has been charged after a police drug-bust on a Halls Head property uncovered an extensive backyard cannabis crop.
Detectives searched the Tasker Street home at 8.15am, after speaking with the man who was the only person home at the time.
They allegedly found 19 mature cannabis plants behind the shed.
It is understood the man lives with his 90-year-old mother.
The man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and manufacturing cannabis oil.
He is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court in February.
